Make Major Bus Stops Safe and Rain-Proof

Many people depend on buses every day for work, education and essential travel. During heavy rain, passengers can be left standing without proper shelter, seating, lighting or drainage. Upgrade major bus stops with covered shelters, adequate seating, proper lighting, clean surroundings, drainage and clear information about bus routes. Priority should be given to stops used by large numbers of students, senior citizens, women and daily workers. The improvements should make public transport more comfortable and safer throughout the year, not just during the monsoon.
What success looks like
Safer and more comfortable public transport for daily commuters, particularly women, children, senior citizens and people who depend on buses for work and education.
